Kringloop Den Haag is a well-known network of thrift shops operating in The Hague region and its neighboring areas including Delft. Focused on product re-use and social reintegration, they effectively minimize waste streams. Therefore, new challenges arise such as redefining relationships with local communities to foster a growing circular economy. The societal challenge was navigating this transition while fostering community engagement and sustainable resource management practices, thus contributing to the realization of a circular economy imperative for societal resilience.

To tackle this societal challenge the Dream It Yourself booklet was created. The booklet is a way to get people excited to create their own dream project with help from the store. Envisioning and eventually building your own projects creates a deeper bond and stronger connection with the objects around us. Creating a community space where people can get inspired by the works of others could be a starting point to donate materials even without your own building project.
